This team consist of individuals trained in the use of specialized mountain bikes loaded with all the equipment needed for an emergency call. Special packs on these bicycles carry bandages, small splints, oxygen, 1st line medications, and an ECG machine. The bike team is used at a multitude of events including parades, carnivals, fairs, large crowd sporting events, and any place else an ambulance or a golf cart has difficulty reaching. Emergency care is begun while the transport vehicle makes its way to the scene. The EMS bike team also hosts bicycle rodeos where they inspect bicycles for the community and teach bicycle safety.
